That might be some odd trick with custom columns or that might be accepting that it doesn't work that way, eating the $5 and trying a different app like Moon+reader, Aldiko or etc.īut the really annoying bit right now is the lack of a handy guide for CC explaining all of it's functionality. With my Kindle (which this replaced in my slow progress toward distancing myself from Google and Amazon) I would plug it in, and Calibre would show which books were on the device, and which werent, and moving them to the device was as simple as selecting the book and clicking on 'send to device. ![]() My only annoyance right now is how to deal with 2 separate libraries on CC. I like having CC on my tablet because transferring via wireless from PC to Tablet is now almost effortlessly easy (though not as easy as just plugging a wire into both devices and simply dragging and dropping files), and it brings over all my metadata on each file so I can better organize when the mood strikes me. ![]() I used to just have separate folders that I manually organized and pulled from on the SD card but the file manager app leaves much to be desired. calibre itself does not run on phones/tablets but you can connect to calibre running on your home computer, read books and manage your library in several ways. I have Calibre on my PC and I have 2 libraries on it for things I don't want mixing. And I don't want to deal with any special code.Īnd $5 for a convenient app is worth it in my mind. I don't want to setup dropbox or similar to act as a file sever for Calibre (or anything like that) because I just want to copy my files over internet or not.
